An Open Letter to All San Diego County Aggies,
As the President of the San Diego County A&M Club, I want to invite you to take a look at our club’s website: sandiegoaggies.org. The purposes of the club, as stated in the By-Laws, are: “To assist the University and The Association of Former Students in any worthy undertaking to the best of our ability as a Club and as individual former students, to strengthen and renew friendship formed in student days and when possible to establish and maintain scholarships for needy and worthy students attending Texas A&M University”.
While we follow the stated purposes as set out above, we do so with you as the main reason for the club. We offer activities (i.e. Football Watch Parties; Mixers; Community activities, etc.), and a place to hold those activities, with the purpose of bringing our San Diego County Aggies, as well as our visiting Aggies, together. Let’s face it, Aggies enjoy being with other Aggies, whether watching the Aggies BTHO opposing teams or sharing tales of their times at A&M; good, bad or indifferent. Also there is the opportunity to network, meet new people and make new friends. You never know where those contacts may lead you, professionally or otherwise. You can rest assured you won’t find a closer relationship, outside of your family.
We would love to have you as a member of the club, although that is not required to attend functions. Annual Membership is only $20 for one person or $25 for a family. The membership dues go strictly to maintain the scholarship fund, to assist with Muster expenses and to fund the club’s expenses.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our next functions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
